Everest Base Camp trek is one of the most challenging and strenuous treks in the Himalayas of Nepal. This amazing trek provides the ultimate experience of climbing Kalapathar (5643m) along with a hike to the Everest Base Camp.
The trek begins with a scenic mountain flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. From Lukla we begin our trek to Phakding along the Dudh Koshi river passing several villages like Benkar, Monjo, Jorsalle and reach Namche. We will have two nights in Namche to acclimatize and prepare ourselves to adapt with the altitude gain. From Namche we will hike towards the Sherpa village of Tengboche, Dingboche to Everest Base Camp. Hike to Kalapatthar and descend to Lukla in a Helicopter and fly to Kathmandu.

Day 01ARRIVAL IN KATHMANDU (1400M)
Upon arrival at the airport our guide/representative will meet you and transfer to your designated hotel. As there are no activities planned for today, you may either enjoy the evening at leisure or take a self-guided tour around the tourist market of Thamel.

Day 02FLY TO LUKLA-TREK TO PHAKDING (2652M/4HRS)
This morning catches the early morning scenic flight to Lukla. Upon arrival meet our trek crew and proceed along the banks of the Dudh Koshi river through pine forests and crossing several suspension bridges to Phakding. The first part of the journey is a gradual downhill hike and then a steep uphill trek.

Day 03PHAKDING TO NAMCHE BAZAAR (3440M/6HRS)
The trail passes through evergreen forests of pine and rhododendron north up the Benkar valley crossing the Dudh Koshi to Monjo village. This small settlement of Monjo serves as the gateway to the Sagarmatha National Park, Sagarmatha National Park is home to several species of Himalayan flora and fauna. After crossing the suspension bridge, our trail winds up past the settlements of Jorsalle alongside the Dudh Koshi and the Bhote Koshi river. From here it is a steep uphill hike of about 2 hrs to Namche Bazaar, the biggest town in the Everest region.

Day 04IN NAMCHE BAZAAR (ACCLIMATIZATION DAY)
This day is reserved for acclimatization, as you ascend higher it is necessary to adapt your body with the surrounding atmosphere. There are several options how you would like to spend the day, you can either hike to the Everest View Hotel passing across Syangboche airstrip which provides stunning view of Mt. Everest and the surrounding Himalayan peaks. You also have the option to take a day hike to Khumjung or Thame village, this hike helps you to adjust and adapt with the altitude gain.

Day 05NAMCHE BAZAAR- TENGBOCHE (3860M/5-6HRS)
Today’s trek goes through the most scenic route, the trail goes past the Imja Khola through rhododendron-laden hamlets and emerald pastures with majestic view of peaks like the Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam and Thamserku all along the way to Tengboche. Tengboche houses the Tengboche monastery, the largest monastery in the Khumbu region.

Day 06TENGBOCHE-DINGBOCHE (4410M/5HRS)
Our trail descends and passes through lush forests of birch, conifer and rhododendron trees to the tiny hamlet of Debuche. After crossing several suspension bridges we arrive at the next settlement of Pangboche, from here we will find a remarkable change in the vegetation, the mountain vegetation changes to short bushy alpine vegetation. Along the way we come across occasional stone walls carved with prayers and colorful prayer flags swaying in the Himalayan breeze. Upon reaching Dingboche, we can relax and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Amadablam peaks that tower over the village.

Day 07IN DINGBOCHE (ACCLIMATIZATION DAY)
As you have reached an altitude of more than 4000m, this day is reserved for altitude adaptation. The best way to do this is to gain more altitude during the morning and return back in the afternoon. Today we hike up the Nagarjuna(Nangkartshang)Hill, the hike is uphill and rather strenuous, but the effort is worth the journey. From the top we can have the panoramic view of the Imja valley and the majestic peaks like the Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Lobuche and surrounding area.

Day 08DINGBBOCHE-LOBUCHE (4910M/5HRS)
Hike through alpine meadows and summer yak pastures towards the end of the moraine of the Khumbu Glacier to Lobuche. Along the way we pass through Thukla and the Khumbu Glacier, at the moraine there is a memorial yard of those Sherpas and climbers who had lost their lives on the quest of conquering Mt. Everest. As you trek further, you will notice significant changes in the vegetation from bushes to alpine shrubs. Today’s trek ends at Lobuche, a small village with Lobuche peak towering at the background.

Day 09LOBUCHE-GORAKSHEP (5180M)-EVEREST BASE CAMP (5364M)-GORAKSHEP (7-8HRS)
Today is one of the most anticipated day of the trek. You head towards Gorakshep, the last human settlement we encounter on the way to EBC. Lunch at Gorakshep, after lunch we hike alongside the Khumbu glacier moraine towards the base camp. Upon reaching the base camp, you can see the glacier and the close up view of Nuptse, Khumbutse and others. After spending some time at the base camp, return back to Gorakshep for overnight.

Day 10GORAKSHEP-KALAPATTHAR(5643M)-HELICOPTER RIDE-KATHMANDU
Wake up early morning and trek to Kalapatthar, one of the best vantage point for spectacular sunrise and the best panoramic view of the Everest, Nuptse and the entire range. After the most rewarding view of Everest, you will board the helicopter and fly to Lukla and then fly on a plane to Kathmandu or Ramechaap. (Depending on the Aviation authority).
Overnight in Kathmandu.
