The trek commences with a picturesque drive from Kathmandu to the bustling city of Pokhara, where the adventure truly begins. From Pokhara, a short drive takes you to Kande, the starting point of the trek. As you ascend through verdant rhododendron forests and charming Gurung villages, you’ll witness the authentic rural life of the Nepalese people. The warm hospitality and welcoming smiles of the locals add an enriching cultural element to the trek.

As you gain altitude, the landscape transitions into alpine meadows adorned with vibrant flowers, providing a refreshing change of scenery. The Mardi Himal Base Camp, situated at an elevation of approximately 4,500 meters, is the ultimate destination of the trek. Standing at the base camp, you’ll be rewarded with unobstructed views of the Annapurna massif, including the iconic Machhapuchhre. The feeling of accomplishment and the sense of serenity amidst the vast mountain panorama make this moment truly unforgettable.

Itinerary

  • Day 01DRIVE TO POKHARA (208KM/6 HRS)

    The drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara goes along river banks, local villages, farm lands and beautiful mountain scenario. Along the way you shall stop to observe the scenic spot and also to stretch your legs. On arrival check into the hotel and relax or you have the option to stroll around the Phewa lake and visit the local market.

  • Day 02POKHARA-KANDE- TREK TO PITAM DEURALI (3230M/4HRS)

    Drive for about an hour to Kande on the Pokhara Baglung highway, the starting point of our trek. Start your hike from Kande, the trail ascends for about an hour or more along the edge through green hills and reach Australian Camp. From Australian Camp it is a gentle uphill ascend through bamboo, oak and rhododendron forest to Pitam Deurali.

  • Day 03PITAM DEURALI-FOREST CAMP (2600M/5 HRS)

    Today you leave Deurali and continue on the trail. The trail is a gradual uphill walk through forests of giant rhododendron, oak, maple and hemlock on to the top of a ridge with great views. And from the ridge the trail steeply descends for some time and then it climbs back to the ridge and arrive at Forest camp.

  • Day 04FOREST CAMP-LOW CAMP (3150M/4HRS)

    The trail in the beginning is quite steep and then it is a gradual climb through rhododendron forest following the ridge with a noticeable change in vegetation. After about 3 hours of walk you arrive at Low camp with spectacular views of the Machhapuchre and the Annapurna south.

  • Day 05LOW CAMP-HIGH CAMP (3700M/4-5HRS)

    Trek uphill through Forest camp to High Camp alongside a ridge towards, Mardi Himal and Machhapuchre, as the climb progresses tall trees give way to alpine shrubs and dwarf rhododendron bushes. After a steep ascent you finally land at the High camp with excellent view of the Annapurna south, Huinchuli and the Machhapuchre.

  • Day 06HIGH CAMP-MARDI HIMAL BASE CAMP (4500M)-BADAL DANDA(6-7HRS)

    After an early breakfast you head towards our main destination “Mardi Himal Base camp” (4500m). It takes about 5 hrs to reach the base camp. After spending some great time enjoying the beautiful scenes of Himalayas and capturing some beautiful memories return back to Badal Danda for overnight.

  • Day 07BADAL DANDA-SIDDING & DRIVE TO POKHARA (1885M/6-7HRS WALK/1.5 HRS DRIVE)

    Enjoy a breathtaking early morning sunrise view and after breakfast hike to siding village. Today’s hike is mostly downhill through rhododendron forest to the scenic hilltop Gurung village of Sidding and hike across several villages to the road head and drive to Pokhara. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and rest of the afternoon is to rest and relax or pursue your own activity.

Included

  • Airport pick-up and drop in a private vehicle.
  • All ground transport in sharing jeep or bus. (Private transport can be arranged upon request at additional cost)
  • One night accommodation in 3-4* category hotel after the trek in Pokhara.
  • One-day sightseeing with entrance fee accompanied by a local tour guide as per itinerary. (Optional at additional cost)
  • Accommodation in trekkers lodge/tea house during the trek.
  • Only breakfast during the stay in Pokhara and three vegetarian meals along with one coffee/tea during the trek. (Non-veg meals can be arranged at additional cost)
  • English speaking local trekking guide along with porter (one porter for every two members) during the trek.
  • All necessary paper work and permits.
  • All Government taxes and service charges.

  • Nepal entry visa.
  • International flight to and from Kathmandu.
  • Lunch and dinner or any other meal not specified above.
  • Personal Travel Medical Insurance.
  • Personal expenses such as bar, beverages, tips and gratuities, laundry, telephone, battery recharge, etc.
  • Personal belongings (shoes/clothes) and trekking equipment’s.
  • Hot showers during the trek.
  • Any extra cost incurred due to changing the itinerary, like early return from the trek.
